Recognition – Maquette

This sculpture is the 1st in a new body of work. The work explores my connection to nature, or the flow of energy found in the natural world, the search for the source of energy that gives me life. It is also a search for some essence within myself which I find hard to explain or represent. As I find it ,it is lost – like a bird that fly’s off just as one sees it. I recognise that the essence I seek is within me, as it is in nature. We are of the same make up , and yet we are also separate.
